Celebrating downstream art
Exhibiting for the first time in his home town, Cooran, in the Noosa Hinterland on the Sunshine Coast, Jon Neilson has chosen a range of his works including photo art, sculptures, paintings and ceramics.
Photos from recent world travels and large abstract paintings are interspersed with artistic adventures with glazes on tableware pottery and constructions in mixed media. Jon's iconic sculptures are evocative, mysterious and controversial.
Jon will be present during exhibition hours to discuss his works.
Exhibition Comments
"The images in Jon's Cooran exhibition are substantially a record of his travels to foreign lands, whereas his previous shows were into the realm of digital photography.
His new works capture wonderful events from his personal journeys, illustrating further development of the digital technique, with vibrant layers of space and colour in time."
